Lemon Trees Spotted in SF

We think there are three to four thousand lemon trees already planted in San Francisco gardens, and we’re trying to find them all! You can help us by becoming a lemon spotter. All you need to do is look around your neighbourhood for lemon trees, and let us know when you find them.

There will be a prize for the lemon spotter who spots the most lemon trees each quarter!

Here’s how it works:

1. Find a lemon tree! Ideally, you get the address and zip code where the lemon is located (easy if you are walking in your own neighborhood). If driving, we can still have a lemon tree count if you provide us with a street and cross street.

2. Fill out the form below to let us know about the tree(s) you spotted.

3. We will use your email to keep track of how many trees you have spotted, and acknowledge you for your awesome work! The address of the tree is only seen by us, and not is accessible from the website, so no need to worry about addresses being public.
