You can help San Francisco become sustainable in lemons by becoming a lemon spotter — someone on the lookout for lemons in front or back yards who will take the time to register the tree(s) that you see!

We think there are 3-4,000 already-planted lemon trees in San Francisco gardens and these would really give us a lift toward our goal of 12,000 trees!

Here’s how it works:

1. You become part of the Lemon Spotting Team by signing up using the form above.

2. Start looking for lemons!! Ideally, you get the address and zip code where the lemon is located (easy if you are walking in your own neighborhood). If driving, we can still have a lemon tree count if you provide us with a street and cross/street.

3. When you get home or to your office, just zip directly to our lemon spotting lemon link at the top of our home page and it will take you to the registration page where there are 2 easy steps to registration.

4. We will use your email to keep track of how many trees you have spotted, and acknowledge you for your awesome work! The address of the tree is only seen by us, and not is accessible from the website, so no need to worry about addresses being public.
